Botany Surveys

We carry out botanical surveys to assess habitat quality, track change over time, and inform conservation, restoration, or development decisions.

Botanical surveys provide a window into habitat quality, condition, and change. Whether it’s a species-rich grassland, a degraded wetland, or a newly created habitat, we can help assess what’s there and what that means.

We carry out a range of botanical surveys, from Phase 1 habitat surveys and National Vegetation Classification (NVC) to targeted species searches and condition assessments for Biodiversity Net Gain or agri-environment schemes. We focus on accurate, well-documented fieldwork and clear interpretation that supports both conservation goals and project needs.

Our surveys can track the success of habitat creation, support restoration planning, or simply establish a solid ecological baseline.

Our botanical survey service covers:

• Phase 1 habitat surveys and UKHab mapping
• National Vegetation Classification (NVC) and condition assessments
• Targeted rare or indicator species surveys
• Supports BNG, agri-environment schemes, and habitat management
• Clear reporting with a focus on ecological interpretation and outcomes
